Do contractors pay any fees?
No, nothing at all. Joining, building a profile and bidding are free, and there's zero commission on payouts. Contractors keep 100% of every rand they quote; the 3.5% service fee sits on top of the project value and is never deducted from their work.
What does SafePay protection actually cover?
Your full payment sits in an independent, FSCA-aligned trust account and is released in stages only as you approve the work. If a contractor disappears or the work isn't done to the agreed scope, your unreleased funds stay in the trust account: nothing moves without your approval, both sides agreeing, or a binding order.
