How do I know the painter used the paint they quoted?

On Completo the first milestone of a painting job is the paint and materials on site. Your contractor uploads a photo of the unopened tins showing brand and product, plus the till slip or delivery note, before that stage can be marked complete. Your money stays in the SafePay trust account and releases only when you approve each stage.

Do I pay anything up front?

No. You pay the full quote into the SafePay trust account, not to the contractor. The money releases stage by stage as you approve the work, starting with the paint and materials on site.

Should the painter supply the paint?

Either works. The job form asks who supplies the paint, so quotes are comparable. When the contractor supplies it, the materials milestone photo shows you exactly what arrived.

What about roof painting and working at height?

Roof work and homes higher than double storey mean working at height. Ask your contractor how they will work safely at height. Completo asks contractors to confirm they have the equipment to work at height safely before they quote on those jobs.

How is painting priced?

Painters usually price per square metre, adjusted for surface condition, the number of coats and access. Post your job free and compare real quotes from verified contractors.

Do I need to be home while they paint?

Many homeowners are not. The job form asks whether the home is occupied during the work so the quote and schedule fit. Your approvals happen on Completo, so you release each stage when you have seen the work.
