Electrician in Pretoria East: Wired. Then Paid.

The usual suspects (jobs, not people)

• Distribution board upgrades: older boards without proper earth-leakage protection are still common in the 70s and 80s suburbs, and they're usually the first thing a sparkie wants to talk about.

• Rewires in the older suburbs: Brooklyn and Menlo Park homes have wiring from another era; rewiring can be staged room by room rather than done as one terrifying quote.

• Gate motors, intercoms and outside power: the east takes its boundary walls seriously.

• Backup power wiring: inverters and change-over switches, installed properly and certified, not dangled off the nearest plug circuit.

• COC inspections and remedial work: see our dedicated Electrical COC in Pretoria East page for the rules around selling.

Good contractors are paying for bad contractors' reputations

Every time someone's contractor vanishes with a deposit, the next honest electrician gets the suspicious squint. We built Completo to fix the order of things: verified pros quote, the money is secured in trust before the work starts, and it's released as you approve each stage. The good electricians love it. The Deposit Ghost hates it. That's rather the point.

How it works

1. 1

Post your job free: it takes about 60 seconds.

2. 2

Verified local electricians send you quotes.

3. 3

You pick one and fund SafePay. Your money sits in a SafePay trust account, and Completo never holds it.

4. 4

Money is released stage by stage, only when you approve the work. Wired. Then paid.

Electricians by Pretoria East suburb

• Garsfontein

Eighties houses with original boards on one side of the road, new security complexes on the other. Both keep sparkies busy.

• Menlo Park

Mid-century homes, many now guesthouses and offices, where the wiring sometimes predates colour television.

• Brooklyn

One of Pretoria's grand old suburbs: beautiful homes, mature oaks, and conduit that has seen several governments.

• Die Wilgers

Complex living near Wilgers Hospital: prepaid meters, common-property lighting and the odd mystery trip switch.

• Hatfield

Student lets, flats and older homes around the University of Pretoria, where landlord compliance and prepaid meters rule the job sheet.

• Pretorius Park

Security complexes and townhouses between Garsfontein and Moreleta Park, where gate motors, electric fencing and backup power fill the job sheet.

Electricians on Completo also work across the rest of the launch area, from Lynnwood's old stands to the Mooikloof plots.
